Aaron Rodgers may have exited the Green Bay Packers but he still enjoys poking the Bears. But with him switching over to the New York Jets, do the Chicago Bears have the upper hand? After their Sunday showdown, it would seem that Jordan Love is doing exactly what he needs to keep the ownership in place.
A-Rod might be in rehab but he is constantly in touch with his present and former teammates. Even going through a recovery, he regularly dishes out advice to those who look up to him as their mentor.
Keeping the ownership in place, with Love

Speaking with Pat McAfee on his show, the 4x NFL MVP appeared to be recovering from his torn Achilles pretty well. He even managed to catch parts of the Bears game. Rodgers said, beaming, “I said congratulations on keeping the ownership in place. That was pretty awesome for him.” Fans were taken back to 2021 at Soldier Farm when, after scoring a game-winning touchdown, Rodgers screamed, “I still own you.”
Different sources cite different matches for when the Packers-Bears rivalry was born. But when Rodgers took over the Packers, he did not let them lose face. He compiled a 24-5 record against the Bears. Big shoes for Love to fill in. No pressure. But he did not disappoint. Love passed for 245 yards and three touchdowns in the 38-20 win. Going forward, he only has this advice for the Packers QB, “You’ve got to just not listen to any of those expectations outside the facility, outside your own mind.”
However, his absence is giving a tough time to his current team, the New York Jets. After narrowly clinching a victory against the Buffalo Bills in their season opener, the next game was a total downer. After being an understudy to the great A-Rods, it seems his other successor, Zach Wilson has still a lot to learn.
Here’s a tale of two successors
The Super Bowl MVP had nothing but praises and compliments for his former teammate. For Wilson, however, he had this to say, “Just want him to go out and play free and confident this week.” He stated that the two talk every day and he loves him dearly, but after the devastating 30-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, he needs to bring his A-game to the next match.

After the Sunday loss, several teammates huddled around Wilson and told him that they still believed in him. He will need some time to adjust to his new position as leader of the Jets. After being picked second-overall in 2021 NFL Draft, fans had high hopes. But he struggled in his last two seasons.
However, A-Rods is not giving up on him and fans should not either. It will be his responsibility to carry his team to the playoffs, where there is a chance that Rodgers might join them. Till then, the task for Wilson is to beat the New England Patriots, as assigned to him by Rodgers himself. After watching Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys, Rodgers aptly puts it for Wilson, “Jets haven’t beaten them in a while. So, good time to end the streak.”
