In a heartbreaking episode for not just Las Vegas Raiders fans but football fans as well, Chandler Jones was recently arrested. He had also played with the Patriots and the Cardinals in the past. What happened to this promising NFL player?
Since Jones’ matter is sub-judice, important stakeholders such as his lawyer and the Raiders franchise have not let out many statements. As the Raiders gear up to face the Las Vegas Chargers, Chandler Jones will be severely missed.

The DE had not played a single season this year and had been away from the Raiders since the Labor Day weekend. He had made a thread of posts criticizing his team, owner Mark Davis, manager Dave Ziegler, and coach Josh McDaniels. Without stirring up much controversy, the Raiders had quietly put him on the illness list.
Following that, he took to social media to claim that he was taken to a hospital against his will by the Las Vegas Fire Department and later transferred to a behavioral health facility. He also made a series of posts on social media Thursday, including multiple live videos in which he could be seen rambling about several topics while sitting outside his home. Ever since the news of his arrest broke, sympathies have been pouring in from every corner.
Sympathies pour in for Jones
Several Twitter users reacted to the news with genuine concern for the player and extended their prayers and thoughts. A user commented, “In just a year and a half this guy went from being one of the best rushers in football to someone who’s had so many issues nobody knows where his mind is at and what’s happening to him“. But most netizens were hopeful that he would return to playing football again, being the promising player that he is.
