After a fabulous win over the Miami Dolphins in week 7, the Philadelphia Eagles are all set to maintain their winning momentum. The Eagles are all set to go against the Washington Commanders in a divisional battle in week 8. Currently; the Commanders are 3-4, while the Eagles are 6-1 in the league. This will be the second face-off between the two teams this season. In the first encounter, the Eagles defeated the Commanders by 34-31.

The NFL world is favoring the Eagles over the Commanders for various reasons. One of the reasons is the Eagles’ consistent performance, which has placed them at the top of the NFC East standings, whereas the Commanders are third in the divisional standings.

Most of the NFL world and experts are picking the Eagles as the team that will win Sunday’s game. The Commanders have won only one game in their last four outings. This season, the Commanders are averaging 20 points per game and have given up the third-most points.

Will the Eagles keep their winning momentum in week 8?

Well, the winning streak of the Eagles was stopped by the New York Jets in week 6. However, in week 7, the Eagles bounced back with more determination and thrashed one of the best teams in the NFL, the Miami Dolphins. There is no doubt that the Eagles are performing exceptionally well, and their confidence is unmatched. Their quarterback, Jalen Hurts, is continuing his performance from last season into this one. Out of the 7 games played so far, he has thrown at least one interception in 5 games.

The Eagles’ offense is performing wonders. It will be difficult for the Commanders to tackle the Eagles’ offense, where Jason Kelce and other players are showing a good performance. In terms of scoring points, the Eagles are currently 4th in the NFL with a total of 186 points. If the Commanders want to win this game, they need to come up with a strong defensive strategy.

The Commanders’ QB, Sam Howell, is not performing satisfactorily this season. He has absorbed 40 sacks, the highest so far. However, he is still striving to improve his game. He has only completed 36 of 65 throws. Commanders need to work in every department if they want to stop the unstoppable Eagles.
