Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, the duo were celebrated for years. Brady’s ex-head coach Bill Belichick ascended the New England Patriots’ reputation to new heights, by leading them to six Super Bowl victories. The Patriots’ charm was unparalleled for several years, when Belichick, Brady, and Rob Gronkowski were the face of the franchise. 

However, Brady and Gronkowski took retirement from the league in 2023 and 2022, respectively. But Belichick is still present in the Patriots’ camp, taking the team forward. Belichick is one of the oldest active coaches right now, but not the oldest.

With an array of promising coaches present in the NFL fraternity, Belichick is one of them. 71-year-old Belichick is the second oldest active coach, and Seattle Seahawks 72-year-old coach, Pete Carroll, is the oldest coach in the NFL.

Moreover, Belichick is followed by the Kansas City Chiefs, Andy Reid (64), Carolina Panthers, Frank Reich (61), Washington Commanders, Ron Rivera (60), Baltimore Ravens, John Harbaugh (60), and Dallas Cowboys, Mike McCarthy. Moreover, these promising coaches played a major role in shaping their team’s equation in the league. 

While Belichick is one of the most successful coaches in the NFL, his six Super Bowl victories are ever shining in the NFL books. With six championships to his name, Belichick stands alongside George Halas and Curly Lambeau, the only coaches with six championships. 

Bill Belichick is the mastermind behind the Patriots

In the 2022 season, Belichick completed his 23rd season as the HC of the Patriots. Moreover, it was Belichick’s 48th season as an NFL coach. Belichick has a list of accolades to his name, among all the active coaches, Belichick owns the title of most victories and he stands second in the list of all-time victories for the coaches. In 2018, Belichick added his name to the list of three consecutive Super Bowl appearances by a coach.

After serving the Patriots as an assistant HC in 1996, Belichick joined the franchise again in 2000 as an HC. After that, just the history was carved, making Belichick one of the finest coaches in the NFL. In March 2020, Brady made a move to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and with Brady, the Patriots luck factor also flew away. Since the Patriots are having a tough time with their games, and in the 2023 season they are on a losing streak of 2-0.
