Week 7 of the season is underway. And the New England Patriots are aggravating ahead of their next matchup. The sheer volume of players on the team’s injury report tells us that Bill Belichick’s army is reportedly the most banged-up team in the season so far.

Gone are the days when the Patriots were called the giants of the league during the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era. Now, the head coach is fighting alone. After losing five matchups this season with only one win over his former team, the Jets, Belichick and his company will take over the Buffalo Bills on their home turf on Sunday. However, if they lose this game too, the Patriots will create a history that Belichick would never want to remember. Meanwhile, ahead of the matchup, the Patriots released their injury report, causing concern among fans.

The game will kick off on Sunday, October 22,  at 1 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. Ahead of the matchup, both teams released their final injury reports. For the Patriots, it is a matter of concern, as more than 10 players are in doubt. Bill Belichick and his team have lost three straight games.

This time they need to win, and if they lose it, the fourth straight loss will be the longest consecutive loss of the team under Belichick. OL Riley Reiff (knee), LB Josh Uche (knee/ankle), and DL Keion White (concussion) have been ruled out for now. Although no players were listed in the the doubtful category, there were 19 who were listed as the questionable for sure.

They all had limited participation in practice on Friday. RB Rhamondre Stevenson’s name was no longer on the report. He was injured during a 15-yard run by hitting his head hard on the turf.

With all these injured players, the team will be limping ahead to play against the Bills, who have only one player listed as questionable.

What’s the status of the Buffalo Bills?

The Buffalo Bills and coach Sean McDermott released their Friday’s injury report. They have ruled out two players: TE Quintin Morris (ankle) and DT Ed Oliver (toe). Both did not participate in Friday’s practice. On the other hand, like the Patriots, they too don’t have any players listed in the doubtful category. But the team has put DB Cam Lewis (shoulder) in question. However, as in most cases, questionable players land up in their next matchups, and so there is a high probability that Lewis will be present at Foxborough because he showed his full participation on Friday.

But it seems this theory doesn’t apply to the Patriots this time, as all 19 questionable players were in limited practice. Considering the past record, the Patriots have an edge over the Bills, as they hold a 77-49-1 winning record. Moreover, New England has won 36 out of 46 regular games since 2000 and is 39-24 on their home ground while playing off the Bills.

However, this season’s devastating record of 1–5 for the Patriots would definitely trigger the fans to reconsider their picks this time. So far, the Bills are 4-2, and now the Bills’ fans await for their team to win over Bill Belichick and his company.
