Tua Tagovailoa is turning all strides with his back-to-back match-winning performances. He is giving tough competition to the current reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes. With 14 touchdowns in just six games, he is nearing fast to 2000 yards. Tua Tagovailoa is staying far ahead of the competition from other QBs in the league and the stats do vouch for the same.
However, the journey hasn’t been a piece of cake for the rising football star. In fact, in a recent interview, Tagovailoa shared insight into how he acted around HC Mike McDaniel when he first entered the squad. It truly reflected a story of support, encouragement, and resilience.

While Tua Tagovailoa and Mike McDaniel are looking like a dream pair now, it was not how the story started. A social media page on X named ?King of Phinland? shared a clip from Tua Tagovailoa?s recent interview. In the shared clip, Tua opens up about his relationship with the Dolphin?s head coach Mike McDaniel.
In a very modest way, Tagovailoa went on to admit his shy nature when McDaniel started coaching the Dolphins. The superstar went on to say, ?I would not even laugh at his (Mike?s) jokes in team meetings, I was so nervous? evidently pointing out and relating this to his previous work environments.
However, before this statement, the 25-year-old footballer admitted how the head coach provided him with a setting that allowed him to be himself. As Tagovailoa revealed how he didn’t even laugh at Mike McDaniel’s jokes, he reasoned it by saying how it was because he was tense all the time.
