On Sunday, the Cleveland Browns faced off against the Indianapolis Colts. Despite the Browns having a difficult time with their offense and their key player, quarterback Deshaun Watson, suffering an injury, they managed to win the game by a close margin of 39-38. But one particular player had all the more reason to celebrate.

The hero of this close contest was Myles Garrett, who made three defensive plays, garnering a total of 17 points for the Browns. However, that is not the only achievement of Garrett from this game. On Sunday, he also set a new record, showcasing his dominance on the field.

The Browns’ Sunday game against the Colts was all about Garrett brutally dominating the Colts and smashing their game plan left, right, and center. Garrett showed the Colts why he is considered one of the best defensive players in the NFL. This game was also highly fruitful for his personal statistics. As a two-time All-Pro, Garrett made history by breaking the legendary Reggie White’s record. White had 80 sacks before turning 28, whereas Garrett now has a whopping 82 to his name before turning 28.

On Sunday, Garrett displayed one of the best defensive performances of this season. He had nine tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, a pass breakup, and a blocked field goal. When asked about his brutal dominance on the field, he said, “It’s up there. But who says the next one can’t be even better? It really was just another day at the office.

However, in his second season, he truly began to exhibit his exceptional performance, recording 13.5 sacks. From 2020 to 2022, he amassed 44 sacks, a phenomenal achievement for any defensive player. Now, he is recognized as one of the best defensive players in the NFL. If he continues to play at this level for a few more seasons, he will undoubtedly make a strong case for his future Hall of Fame induction.

How was the game for the Cleveland Browns?

With this victory, the Browns are 4-2 in the league, but not everything is going right for the team. In the first quarter, the Browns faced a significant setback as their QB Watson had to leave the field due to an injury. Although he was cleared to return to the field, the Browns decided not to take the risk, and Walker replaced the injured Watson. While their defense is set, they need to work on their offense, as evidenced by the fact that the Colts were leading in the second quarter with a score of 21-17.

With Garrett in their team, they have one of the best defense units in the league. However, the Browns’ defense did not impress quite as much in this game, apart from their star player. The indiscipline in their defense was evident from the fact that they conceded 38 points for their opponents, the most for the Browns this season. They allowed the Colts’ Josh Downs to make a 59-yard catch and run for a touchdown on a free play. Even though their defense is not facing any major issues, if they are aiming for the Super Bowl, they can’t let these small mistakes happen.
