Last Sunday at the MetLife Stadium, Aaron Rodgers attended the game as a spectator to support his New York team, using crutches as he continues his recovery from his injury. Although the Kansas City Chiefs won 23-20 over the New York Jets, Rodgers believed that his team gave the reigning champion a tough competition, as he humorously revealed in a recent episode of ‘The Pat McAfee Show.’

However, the highlight of his comment remained his special reference to Taylor Swift’s rumored beau, Travis Kelce. Expressing his thoughts on the game, Rodgers grabbed the opportunity to playfully bash Kelce in two words, without disclosing his private talks with the tight end.

In the latest episode of ‘The Pat McAfee Show,’ host Pat McAfee asked QB Aaron Rodgers about his team’s performance in a three-point loss on Sunday. To this, A-Rod replied that there was some kind of “moral victory” for his team as they faced off against the reigning champions.

He added a comment further, saying, “Our defense played well and Pat didn’t have a crazy game and Mr. Pfizer, we kind of shut him down a little bit.” After hearing Kelce being referred to as ‘Mr. Pfizer’ by Rodgers, McAfee, and co-host AJ Hawk couldn’t control their laughter, which kept them rolling on the floor for quite some time.

While the remark on his team’s excellent efforts did not become forgotten, the Travis Kelce comment certainly led to it being sidelined for the most part. The curiosity remained around everyone as to why the star called the tight end by such a particular name, that too without a second thought.

The reference to “Mr. Pfizer” stems from Kelce’s involvement in Pfizer commercials, which were aired during the last Sunday night game. In the commercials, Kelce can be seen advocating for taking vaccination shots. Earlier too, Kelce appeared in a Walgreens commercial in June 2021, to promote vaccinations.

Rodgers who has been very open about his worries about COVID and the NFL’s vaccination policy seem to have taken note of this. He was at the center of a controversy during his Green Bay Packers‘ era in 2021, when he initially claimed he was immunized, but then later revealed he wasn’t when he caught COVID and missed a game because of that.
