The Chiefs and Vikings are set to face each other for the 14th time overall this Sunday. The Kansas City Chiefs are heading into NFL Week 5 with a season record of 3-1, coming off back-to-back wins. Their last victory against the New York Jets was a closely contested match that ended with a controversial call.
However, their next challenge will be the Minnesota Vikings, a team known for its ability to win close games. The Vikings have had a disappointing season so far, with a record of 1-3. Now, as both teams prepare to face off in the U.S. Bank Stadium this Sunday, the Chiefs have released their injury report, which could provide a sense of relief to the Chiefdom.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Coach Andy Reid‘s team have released their final injury report for Week 5, and it brings good news for Chiefs fans. According to the report, Matt Dickerson (knee), Nick Bolton (ankle), and Wanya Morris (hip) were listed as questionable. Dickerson and Bolton had limited practice on Friday, while Morris was a full participant.
In addition, other injured Chiefs players, including Jaylen Watson (shoulder), Jack Cochrane (calf), Chris Jones (groin), George Karlaftis (knee), L’Jarius Sneed (knee), Kadarius Toney (toe), and Drue Tranquill (wrist), participated in full practice since Wednesday, except for Watson, who had limited practice on October 4. Hence, all these players are ready for the upcoming game against the Vikings on Sunday.
With the likelihood that no players will remain sidelined for the next matchup, Patrick Mahomes and the team can make the best use of their players to face the underdog Vikings after four years.

The Vikings will play their inaugural home game against the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs this Sunday. The Vikings and Chiefs have met 13 times in the league, with Kansas City leading 8-5, including a Super Bowl IV victory. The last time the Vikings faced the Chiefs was back in 2019, when quarterback Patrick Mahomes was out with a sprained ankle. Kansas City has won three of the last five meetings between the teams.
It’s interesting to note that both of Minnesota’s victories (45-20) in 2003, and (16-10) in 2015, occurred on the Vikings’ home field, where they are 4-2 against the Chiefs. Considering the latest performances and injury reports, it’s speculated that the reigning champions, who are in good form, have a good chance of securing a victory for Kansas City. However, the Vikings, known for their ability to make late-game comebacks, strong passing game, and the advantage of playing on their home turf, could potentially secure their second win of the season.
