Kansas City Chiefs Captain Patrick Mahomes Is Launching a Pricey Sneaker for a Taylor Swift-Concerted New York Jets War

Ahead of the highly anticipated Sunday night football game against the New York Jets, Patrick Mahomes is launching a pricey new shoe. Apparel companies signing top-tier players is usual in the sporting landscape. NBA legend Michael Jordan is a prime example. Nike launched his signature shoe called Air Jordans, and the rest is history. Similarly, Mahomes joined hands with Adidas to launch his signature shoe in August 2021.

Now taking the legacy forward of Mahomes and the apparel company, Adidas has a new update for Mahomes’ enthusiasts and all the football enthusiasts in general.

Patrick Mahomes will debut a sneaker in the game against the Jets. Adidas revealed the release of the Mahomes 1 Impact FLX Away Shoes colorway, which will be donned by Mahomes at MetLife Stadium. The shoes will merge with the Kansas City Chiefs’ uniforms, having white, and red stints.

In an interview with GQ, Mahomes highlighted his emotions about having his signature shoe. Mahomes said, “To have your own signature shoe, when you’re growing up and you’re watching and you see Jordan, you see LeBron, James Harden. Not a lot of NFL players have their own signature shoe, a lot of them have cleats. For Adidas to give me the opportunity to have my own signature shoe, they let me completely help design the whole shoe, and for me, I want them to be a lifestyle shoe but the same time something that you can train in.”

Despite all the frenzy surrounding Mahomes’ shoe launch. The NFL world is buzzing with Taylor Swift’s presence at the Chiefs’ past game against the Chicago Bears. Now, the burning question arises, will the NFL fraternity witness Swift again at Metlife Stadium?
