The Kansas City Chiefs starting quarterback, Patrick Mahomes suffered an ankle injury in the last game against the Chicago Bears. Carrying the momentum of two consecutive victories, the Chiefs are shadowed by the injury of their star QB. However, it’s not only Mahomes but also their star defensive lineman Chris Jones, due to the groin injury, marked limited participation during the Chiefs practice session. 

However, Mahomes along with Travis Kelce, showed promising gameplay and lodged an easy victory against the Chicago Bears. The Chiefs won by 41-10, but when the game was at 34-0, Mahomes faced an ankle injury, which raises concerns about his participation in the next game.

Chiefs released their injury report before their game against the New York Jets. Mahomes along with Jones, and Kadarius Toney were a part of the report. Despite limping to the sidelines in the game against the Bears, Mahomes was a full participant in practice sessions.

Giving the Chiefs nation a sigh of relief, Mahomes is expected to be included in the Chiefs playing eleven. However, it’s just one side of the coin. Jones with limited participation in training sessions, brings a point of concern for the Chiefs’ management. Like Mahomes being a strong pillar of the Chiefs’ offense, Jones is the backbone of the team’s defense.
