Zach Wilson has been the talk of the town recently, given the performance of the Jets this season. However, that isn’t the only factor that has put the young QB under the spotlight. The absence of Aaron Rodgers has also attracted scrutiny from fans and experts alike as to what could improve the run of the New York Jets on the field.
Sadly, the answer hasn’t been found yet. While many believe that it is the backup quarterback, Wilson who needs to up his game, others have delivered a stance as to how others need to contribute as well. So, it leads back to the question as to what the Jets decided to do this time against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Jets are going with Zach Wilson again?
After his poor performances in his last three games, fans were furious with Zach Wilson and the Jets team. They even took to social media to demand other quarterbacks be brought in, but to not give Wilson another chance. The next highly anticipated matchup for the Jets will be against the Chiefs on Sunday, October 1 at 8:20 p.m. ET.

And once again, the Jets are sticking with Wilson as their quarterback against the young GOAT Patrick Mahomes. Despite an ugly loss to Bill Belichick‘s New England Patriots in Week 3, the team continues to put their faith in Wilson rather than his backup, Tim Boyle.
But why is coach Robert Saleh not benching Wilson after his consecutive poor performances?

Robert Saleh believes in Zach Wilson!
According to a recent report, when asked about Zach Wilson’s situation, Jets coach Robert Saleh said, “I know it’s going to go on deaf ears, or whatever, see on a day in and day out basis is a young man who’s much improved from a year ago, he is much more confident, he is much more accurate, he has much more command of the huddle, he looks better in the pocket.”

Saleh continued, “It could have been better yesterday, but he’s improved. He’s getting better and he’s going through his progressions….You just don’t throw people away, man. You gotta continue to work with him.” His statement reflects Saleh’s confidence in Wilson, and he isn’t swayed by fan opinions, critics, or statistics.

Furthermore, Saleh believes that the Jets’ losses are not solely attributable to one person; it’s a team effort. With this mindset, Saleh and the Jets are once again going into the game with Zach Wilson against Patrick Mahomes’ Red Army.
