The New York Jets fell to a 1-3 record following their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. In the October 1 football game, the Chiefs secured a narrow victory over the Jets with a three-point lead, resulting in a final score of 23-20 at MetLife Stadium. While it was indeed a day of celebration for the Chiefs, it was quite the opposite for the Jets, particularly CB Sauce Gardner, who appeared noticeably upset about the events that unfolded that night.
Initially, he refrained from expressing his frustration concerning a questionable call made by the referees. However, he later found the words to convey his anger, shedding light on what transpired and the reasons he believed to have contributed to their loss against the Red Team. Furthermore, it seems there is one person in the NFL who isn’t happy with Taylor Swift’s entry into the league.

The Chiefs were holding a three-point lead over the Jets with less than five minutes left in the game. During that moment, Michael Carter II intercepted Patrick Mahomes at the Jets’ 14-yard line. However, the play was nullified when Sauce Gardner received a defensive holding penalty while covering Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
In the viral video, the referee was seen signaling the end of interception even before raising the flag. This penalty allowed the Chiefs to retain possession, and they eventually ran out the clock to secure a 23-20 victory on Sunday. Expressing his frustration over the controversial call, Gardner playfully made a reference to Tay-Tay in a tweet, saying, “Lmaoo maybe if I was a swiftie, the ref wouldn’t of threw the flag.”
However, he edited the tweet a few minutes later, removing the last part and simply stating, “Lmaoo maybe if I was a swiftie then…. Nvm.” The last-minute edit of the tweet indicates toward Gardner not wanting to become part of any controversy, risking his game or even an online face-off with the fans of the pop icon.

How does Sauce Gardner look at the incident?
While Sauce Gardner may not be a fan of Taylor Swift as he claims, he did appreciate the jersey swap with her alleged boyfriend, Travis Kelce, after the game. Yet, beneath the surface of sportsmanship, he carried some frustration from his team’s back-to-back losses this season along with the moment that occurred in the match.
