Fans spotted her at the Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday for a Kansas City Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears match. But hardcore Swifties knew something didn’t make sense. Taylor is not a Chiefs or Bears fan. Being from Pennsylvania, she is a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan. What was she doing in the player’s family box alongside Donna Kelce, mother of the Chiefs TE Travis Kelce?

Is Kelce using Taylor Swift?

Dave Portnoy, owner of Barstool Sports, appeared on Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh’s podcast Flagrant. He opened up about football’s hottest couple – Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. “They don’t look normal,” Dave Portnoy commented on the couple. The hosts and their guests expressed their puzzlement at how the two could possibly partner up. They thought maybe Taylor Swift’s fame was what drew Travis to her. “Are you seduced by the fame of it?” was Andrew’s question to Kelce. After making a dent in the football space, was Kelce now looking to break into the mainstream?

Dave Portnoy did not spare Travis Kelce either. “Sort of doofus… I don’t like Travis Kelce’s style at all. I think he’s a little bit cringey.” The Barstool Sports owner who styles himself as “El Presidente” was appalled at the fact that Kelce had his own dating show. In the show, 50 women from the 50 states of America participated in a bid to win the then 3-year NFL player’s heart. Maya Benberry won the show, but the two’s relationship was all over in a few months. Are the Swifties already looking for Dave’s address for criticizing Taylor?

Water off a duck’s back

The Swifties are battle-hardened. It’s not new for them to see their idol being unfairly criticized online. Recently, they got into a tussle with Brittany Mahomes’ fans. The 2x SB MVP’s wife was pitted against Kelce’s new love interest for the title of the “Queen of Kansas City Chiefs“. In a picture posted by Brittany, the two camps were at each other’s throats, claiming the title for their respective heroine.

After the Bears match, the two were spotted cruising around Kansas City in a convertible. Travis Kelce fans and Swifties are eager to see how this chapter of the two stars will pan out. Will the two make permanent inroads into the other’s hearts? Or will Travis Kelce prove to be a source for another hit Taylor Swift album?

Despite the Barstool owners’ doubt over the bond between Swift and Kelce, pop culture fans and football fans have expressed their fascination at the prospect. The pair looks to have started off their union blissfully but Portney suggests that it is unlikely to stay that way. Only time will tell how the couple’s bond plays out.
