Does the Las Vegas Raiders regret rejecting Colin Kaepernick? The team is hitting some turbulence as they navigate this NFL season, sporting a 3-4 record seven weeks in. In a shocking upset, they succumbed to a 30-12 loss against the underdog Chicago Bears. Now, the Raiders’ head coach Josh McDaniels is under fire for a bad performance.

Back in May 2022, the Raiders’ coach involved Kaepernick in a warmup session alongside several athletes, but shut the comments about having him back by stating, “We brought a lot of people for a workout.” 17 months later, McDaniels’ team’s offensive line is visibly struggling to hold the fort!

The Las Vegas Raiders’ recent face plant against the Chicago Bears, is like a bitter pill from the Josh McDaniels era. Raiders had the undrafted rookie QB Tyson Bagent calling the shots. And the recent defeat got Raider Nation shaking their heads in disbelief. The disappointed fans of the Silver and Black are ready to oust McDaniels- and not in a friendly way. The “Fire McDaniels” campaign was in full swing on social media even before the final whistle blew.

It’s crazy how things can come full circle! Just 17 months ago, McDaniels showed the door to former Raiders QB Colin Kaepernick. And now, under his tutelage, the team is plummeting in performance. The Raiders are stacking up those Ls like they’re going out of style.

Monte Poole, the social media sleuth, took to ‘X’ and dropped the truth bomb. Taking a shot at McDaniels, he added, “The QB guru who casually brushed off Colin Kaepernick 17 months ago, saying, ‘Nah, we’re good at QB.’ Well, Josh’s Raiders have managed to break the 20-point barrier just once in 7 games– and that one time required the defense to pull off a late-game safety.

So, the million-dollar question is–did McDaniels’ snubbing of Kaepernick ultimately cost the Raiders a shot at the playoffs this season?

Josh McDaniels stands firm amid critiques

LV Raiders’ head honcho, Josh McDaniels, wasn’t exactly in the mood for post-game critiques. Understandably so! In fact, he dug in his heels when it came to admitting his squad might not have been battle-ready. The Raiders were holding their fort, but then came the head-scratcher. McDaniels opted for a field goal instead of going all-in for a touchdown deep in Bears territory, leaving fans and analysts puzzled.

That decision was a godsend for the Bears. They chewed up nearly seven minutes of game time. The team further proceeded by booting a field goal of their own, extending their lead to three scores. McDaniels, with a 9-15 record as HC, is getting some much-deserved heat for these late-game field goal calls this season.
