Patrick Mahomes‘ formidable team is navigating the season while addressing some lingering system concerns. Following their initial loss to the Detroit Lions, the Kansas City Chiefs successfully resolved issues surrounding the long-time holdout defensive tackle Chris Jones and the injured Chiefs’ star quarterback Travis Kelce.
With the help of this dynamic trio, including Mahomes, Coach Andy Reid‘s squad swiftly recaptured their championship form, securing a victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, as they approach Week 3, facing the Chicago Bears on their home turf this Sunday, Reid has shared an extensive list of injured players, leaving three key weapons still in doubt.

Which players are ruled out for Week 3, featuring the Chiefs?
The Chiefs have released their final injury report for the week, providing updates on the status of several players. Many players, including Jawaan Taylor, Justin Watson, and Nic Jones, have been cleared to play in the upcoming game against the Bears. However, two players, linebacker Nick Bolton and wide receiver Richie James, have officially been ruled out.
The reason for the same was due to ankle and knee injuries, respectively. Bolton briefly left the Chiefs’ Week 2 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars after suffering his injury, while James also suffered an injury in Jacksonville’s game and didn’t practice all week, raising doubts about his availability for the Bears game.

Dave Toub, the assistant head coach and special teams coordinator for the Chiefs, mentioned earlier that he might use a committee approach if starting punt returner Richie James is unavailable on Sunday against Chicago. And now as per the recent report, James has been ruled out for this Week. In addition to Bolton and James, three other key players for the Chiefs, namely Willie Gay (Quad), Isiah Pacheco (Hamstring), and Kadarius Toney (toe), are listed as questionable.
Their status for the Week 3 game will likely be determined closer to kickoff. However, it’s worth noting that the injury concerns are not limited to the Chiefs; the Bears also find themselves dealing with worrisome injury situations.

Chicago Bears are in trouble!
The ‘toothless’ Chicago Bears may have a smaller list of players dealing with injuries, but each player is crucial considering the team’s performance this season. The Bears haven’t won a single game this season so far, and it is a matter of concern for them, as they have already found themselves in a situation that is difficult to come back from.
