The Houston Texans have made a roaring comeback this season on the back of the $36.3 million-worth C.J. Stroud. Despite suffering significant setbacks against the Ravens (25-9) and Colts (31-20) in the first two finals, they crushed the Jaguars 37-17 last week and annihilated the Steelers 30-6  in this week’s final in a major upset. In the game against the Ravens, Stroud tried his best to cover more than 240 yards but failed to make a touchdown. Stroud made two touchdowns in the following games with a remarkable count of zero interceptions.

Stroud’s efforts have again put the Texans on the charts with a two-win, two-loss ratio. He is outperforming the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and every other quarterback this season, and the sheer numbers speak for themselves. It is inevitable to draw the comparisons, but Stroud has already been compared to the legends. Let’s find out why.

Stroud’s more than 1,200 passing yards (accounting for 300+ per game) is an astounding effort that puts him alongside all-time great Tom Brady and reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes. A post by SportsCenter on Twitter (now X) has put him on the elite list. Check this out:

We know that Tua Tagovailoa, Matthew Stafford, and Kirk Cousins are ahead of him in passing yards. Zero interceptions with 6 touchdowns and 1,200 yards make an astounding effort. Stroud, with effort, has achieved 94 completions, which surely put the likes of Mahomes and Hurts (who are worth more than Stroud) behind him.

The Texans have found a new life in Stroud. He is riding high on confidence and even said: “For me, it’s just the beginning.”

Now, we are going to see what’s ahead for this season.

Texans need Strout to keep up the pace

If Stroud keeps up the same pace, he can go on to become the MVP this season. Texans will be facing the Falcons, who started the season well by registering back-to-back wins against the Panthers (24-10) and the Packers (a close game of 25-24). After that, they were found begging for breath against the Lions and the Jaguars.

Although the Falcons could initially secure wins, the back-to-back losses have put them in a state of jeopardy. The Texans are riding high on confidence with repeat wins, and with their QB Stroud turning the pages of history books, it seems that they will make a walkthrough in the game against the Falcons.
