The NFL season is in full swing with a different set of emotions for each team. Amidst this, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are facing a rollercoaster of sentiments on the field. As the third week of the season soared in the arena, the Buccaneers experienced their first loss of the season on Monday night.

In contrast to this defeat, the runners-up in Super Bowl LVII, the Philadelphia Eagles, have been flying high with three significant victories, including two wins with a 25-point margin against ex-teams of Tom Brady. While wins and losses are part of the game, there’s been some controversy brewing among Buccaneers fans, and it’s all connected to a viral video that has somehow turned the Bucs fans against the Eagles.

NFL reporter Doug Farrar shared a video clip of the game between the Bucs and Eagles on Twitter. In the video, it can be observed that Eagles’ guard Landon Dickerson committed a false start, but no penalty or action was taken against him or the team. Upon seeing the video, Buccaneers’ fans expressed their anger at the lack of action from the officials.

The sentiments of the fans were clearly evident, especially online as they couldn’t help but question the fairness of the sport. Interestingly, this is not the first time a situation like this has been encountered in the NFL arena. An incident involving the Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor in the first game of the season experienced a similar dilemma.

However, in the case of the 24-year-old Eagles guard, no penalty was assessed, leading fans to unite and voice their grievances against Jalen Hurts‘ team.

Refs were just not paying attention.” Another comment read, “We can play this game, every game on almost every play about just about every penalty. Keep it moving.

However, someone else nonchalantly added, “There is missed called in every single nfl game lol relax.” But, this wasn’t enough for the fans. They had their fair share of concerns regarding the problem at hand. This automatically drew out the comparisons with the incident involving Taylor. One user said, “Juwan Taylor goes straight to jail if he does this.

Meanwhile, another commented on the stardom of certain players and indirectly remarked on the game’s fairness. A couple of them wrote, “Teams with “star” QBs have different rules,” and “Not the Chiefs and not Taylor so nobody cares.

These emotions and enraged feelings of the viewers even encouraged others to tag the referees and officials to draw attention to Dickerson’s penalty. However, the matchup is over, and the Eagles won 25-11 at Raymond James Stadium. As for Dickerson, only time will tell whether his false start will come under the notice of the officials or not.
