Los Angeles Chargers WR Mike Williams suffered a knee injury in the 3rd quarter. This painful encounter was met by the star on the field as the team took on the Minnesota Vikings in the third week of the game. Consequently, it has led to a big question mark surrounding the wideout’s future chances this season; given how painful it looked.

Following a reception, the 28-year-old footballer went down and had to be assisted off the field. Mike Williams appeared to be having trouble walking on his left foot and this resulted in him being wheeled into the blue medical tent. Initially, as the Vikings defenders cornered Williams, it is clear that the collision did not result in the injury.

Rather, the awkward bumping of the footballer’s leg, prior to the tackle, might have led to the strain in the muscles. Thus, the possibility of non-contact injury arises high on the radar. Additionally, as the wideout reached the blue medical tent, he was soon shifted to the locker room on a cart.

The Vikings secured their last lead with Justin Jefferson‘s 52-yard touchdown catch, once again capitalizing on a big pass play. The Chargers’ defense let Justin Jefferson slip through in the secondary, and backup safety JT Woods couldn’t bring him down in the open field, as he dove at Jefferson’s feet.
