Patrick Mahomes is the type of guy to have the most fun during the semester and then top the exam. No matter how great he performs on the field, the quarterback never misses out on the fun outside. There’s no shortage of Mahomes’ hilarious antics, as well as his classic taste in fashion, which has been evident on multiple occasions throughout the years.

But his craziest act to this day probably dates back to 2018, when Mahomes showed up in a T-Rex costume at a Halloween party. Notably, the quarterback also has his fair share of opinions on superheroes. And good luck to anyone who stumbles into Mahomes over a debate on Batman.

Batman is a true superhero, thinks Patrick Mahomes

Back in 2020, the Chiefs’ quarterback had already climbed to the top of the NFL. With his standout performances, the Chiefs not only made it to the Super Bowl after 50 years but went all the way to win it. He was already given the status of superhero in the community for his week-in, week-out showing. So, when two of the journalists from the radio network Audacy asked Mahomes about his view of superheroes, especially Batman, he took no time to reply.

“Yeah, he’s gotta be a superhero, the way he’s able to fight and the way he’s able to move around and do the things he does. I mean, it obviously helps to be pretty rich, but I think he does a good job of being able to handle himself in one-on-one combat,” Mahomes said. He went pretty straightforwardly with his idea: “If you ask me, that plays and Batman certainly is a superhero, with or without a mutation.”

But despite his love for Batman, records suggest that the quarterback would rather not wear a superhero costume for a Halloween party. Not even something scary — it’s far off that. Given his sense of fashion, the quarterback once chose to wear a full T-Rex costume on the very night.

Really, Patrick? A T-Rex at Halloween?

In 2018, Mahomes and his then-girlfriend, Brittany, showed up at a Halloween party dressed like a dinosaur and Claire, from the Jurassic World movie series. Only the two knew what was going through their minds that day, but we are sure the fellow guests had a stomach-hurting laugh seeing the duo walk around in that costume.

Thankfully, no one ever had to endure a round two of stomachache as the Mahomes couple decided to be more serious with their Halloween costumes from the following year. Instead, NFL legend O.J. Simpson took up the task as the former Bills running back decided to dress up as… Patrick Mahomes on Halloween. Couldn’t have gone any better!

We are already in the Halloween month this year. With the long-anticipated event slowly approaching, many eyes will be on the Kansas captain and his wife. As Mahomes’ teammates and friends throw Halloween parties at the month’s end, they better keep their eyes on an 8-foot dinosaur lurking in their backyard at night!
