This match was going to be the comeback game that Broncos fans had been waiting for since the season started. Broncos Country had their hopes riding on their star QB Russell Wilson to help them recover from the 12-5 tragedy of last season. With QB Russell Wilson flailing, are Broncos fans beating a dead horse?
According to Statmuse, $245 million Russell Wilson has an average of 242 passing yards per game this season. That would mean 60.5 passing yards per quarter. But as the first quarter ended, his record for the Chiefs game stands at a disappointing 20. Even though the Broncos had lost 70-20 against the Dolphins in their Week 3 game, their QB had started showing signs of a comeback. But now, with a dismal performance in the first quarter, fans might be forced to dismiss his Dolphins game as an exception.

Over his 12-year career as an NFL player, Wilson has managed to secure a passer rating of 106, while Mahomes stands at 96. On paper, it might appear that Wilson is the better player, but during the Chiefs game, he proved to be anything but that. With three more quarters to go, will Wilson be able to play as his former Seattle Seahawks self again? Or should Broncos fans just stop rooting for their team this season and prepare for the next one?
