The Broncos are turning up the heat at the right time. Just when things were getting cold, they have proved their mettle this season. Last match against the Packers was a do-or-die situation for the Broncos. They came into the game with five losses and just one win, and the odds were not favoring Russell Wilson’s side at all.

Just when you were thinking the Broncos would struggle to win a game, Sean Payton and his team went on to prove this otherwise. In a hard-fought battle, the Broncos came on top with 19-17, and have shown their capability to handle the pressure in the crunch situations. Despite Jordan Love’s two TDs, Russell Wilson and the co. came on top in the end!

The Broncos’ emphatic win would not have been possible without the game-changing kick by Wil Lutz. The winning effort came when Lutz hit the ball for an astounding 52-yard field goal. Said kick eventually proved to be the defining moment as the Packers were not able to recover after that despite putting up a great fight. Well, the game-winning effort from Lutz has a hidden connection to soccer.

In a recent report published by the Denver Broncos Lutz was seen admitting that he wanted to pursue a soccer career when he was young. The report highlighted Lutz’s admission as he said “My goal in life was to be a professional soccer player, so I didn’t even start kicking until my junior year of high school, so it’s hard to say when I wanted that moment”.

He also added, “I fell in love with the game of football first and I really enjoyed being a part of a locker room, being on the field on Sundays and in college on Saturdays, and I don’t think there’s anything better.” Thanks to his change of mind, the Broncos now have got a perfect kicker on their side. Despite this win, everything is not yet dandy for the team, as they have a long way to go.
