The Jacksonville Jaguars are among the best performers in the AFC this season. They are on a four-game win streak and lead the AFC South with a 5-2 record. Since losing two straight games inside the first three weeks, Trevor Lawrence and co. have gone ruthless over their opponents. With their current form, they are looking well on course to crack back-to-back playoff spots.
Surely, football analyst Nick Wright looks to believe the same too. In a talk show, Wright recently explained why the Jaguars are among the AFC’s elites, undeniably. More than their record, he pointed out the fashion Jaguars were claiming victories, executing proper dominance.

In a recent episode of Fox’s First Things First show, co-host Nick Wright had nothing but belief to display in Trevor Lawrence. Despite making a slow start to the season, Lawrence has been back to his best in the last three games. After two 315 and 181-yard games against the Buffalo Bills and the Indianapolis Colts respectively, Lawrence has registered 204 passing yards, one touchdown, and a 100.4 passer rating against the New Orleans Saints.
Additionally, he had a career-high 59 rushing yards in the game. Nick Wright was visibly convinced that the Jaguars were there to stay with the exceptional character they had shown. In a clip shared by First Things First on X (formerly, Twitter) Wright referred to the Jaguars to be among the AFC elites. Not only because of their record, the host reminded the context of their dominant victories.
“I tried to warn you guys — 11 days, 2 continents, 3 time zones, 3 wins. The Jacksonville Jaguars are amongst the elite in the AFC. It’s undeniable.”

“I tried to warn you guys — 11 days, 2 continents, 3 time zones, 3 wins,” was the comment Nick Wright put forth, exuding a sense of being utterly impressed by the Jaguars. The Missouri native could not hold back from referring to their elite status as “undeniable,” showing how pleased he was with the turn of events for the side.
The change of scenario of the Jaguars indicates a sign of moving on to the next crucial stage of the season—the playoffs. With the type of game they’re bringing forth, their chances of making it into a consecutive round of playoffs seem to be on the cards along with a probable shot at the victory.

The Jaguars, other than the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins remain the only 5-win teams in the AFC currently. Given Lawrence’s numerical performance, Wright was firmly on the standpoint that the footballer is among the top 10 quarterbacks in the league at the moment.
Although he remained skeptical that Lawrence was yet to be called the best, Wright believed that he would be in contention for the best QBs in the league throughout the season, given the zest he continues to execute on the field. With ‘Sunshine’ finding back his old form and everything else seemingly clicking recently, the Jaguars can definitely expect a ninth playoff spot this year.
And even the ambitious AFC conference title, possibly. For now, the target is much narrower as they travel to Acrisure Stadium on Sunday, October 29 to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Will Trevor Lawrence have another 300-yard game in Pittsburgh? Tell us your predictions in the comments.
