Since joining the New York Jets last year, things have not gone well for Aaron Rodgers. The former Packers legend tore his Achilles tendon in the opening game against the Buffalo Bills and had to undergo surgery. Although the injury ruled Rodgers out for the rest of the season, he still remains strong and focuses on quick rehabilitation. Rodgers keeps sharing updates about his healing process from time to time, along with positive messages. While everyone’s genuine concern is whether the NFL will see more of A-Rod or not, Rodgers seems to be on the right track to make it possible.

Mostly relaxing at his home, the media often reaches out to Rodgers for interviews. Throughout his career, he has been a source of inspiration for many, but who does Rodgers himself look up to? Spoiler alert, it’s no surprise after Rodgers revealed the truth in one such recent interview.

Talking to the Pat McAfee show yesterday, Rodgers said he’s lately been watching NBA legend Kobe Bryant. The ‘Black Mamba’ tore his Achilles tendon in 2013, an injury that forced him out for 7 months. He had documented his whole rehab process with timely updates, and the quarterback finds his inspiration right there.

Speaking to Pat McAfee, Rodgers said “I’m just watching back Kobe Bryant’s Muse if you’ve seen that, when he came back from his Achilles. And it was a great expose of the competitor that he is.”

Rodgers also said he’s always welcoming critics and doubts, as they all give him inspiration. “I’m welcoming all of the doubts, all of the schedules that people have, all of the predictions, any of those things in a negative way to give me that one percent extra inspiration.”

Things are not so smooth for his team though, and their critics aren’t as easy-going either. After their latest game, the squad has a lot of gearing up to do.

The Jets are in deep water without A-Rod

The miss of AR12 seems to be coming down heavy on the New York Jets. After getting hammered against the Cowboys, the Jets are feeling the lack of Rodgers’ service. Team’s QB1 Zach Wilson already had his say over the frustration, and head coach Robert Saleh has addressed their lack of possession in the game. As the situation gets worse for them, the Yorkers need a miracle to bounce back. But the real question is, who is going to make that happen?

After a 1-1 record in two games, the Jets sit at the second spot in the AFC East. Luckily, their next opposition, the Patriots are even worse as they are 0-2 already and dead last in the AFC East. But sadly, that’s just an illusion as the Jets are one loss away from the bottom place. As the Patriots have hit rock bottom, they will look to settle things down out of desperation. If the Chiefs can’t outdo the Patriots, they are set for more shame. Watch out for the battle of hopes on 24 September.
