Behind every successful story, there is a struggle. So was the case with Tom Brady’s backup, Jimmy Garoppolo. The Las Vegas Raiders QB Garoppolo is again having a difficult season this time.

Earlier too this 31-year-old QB suffered multiple injuries, with the most disturbed injury being when he broke his left foot in a 33-17 win over the Miami Dolphins last year with the San Francisco 49ers. Due to this, he was forced to leave the rest of the games of the season. This time, too, it seems like history is repeating itself. However, amid all the doubts, Jimmy Garoppolo’s one childhood incident is surfacing online, indicating his struggle to be where he is today.

If we put aside his injury-prone games or seasons, we can tell how great a quarterback he is. Probably, that’s why he belongs to legendary Tom Brady’s close inner circle. But little did people know that his childhood days were so struggling that he even wasn’t allowed to play football. A tweet by the official page of ‘The Sports E-cyclopedia’ reads, “Growing up #Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo wasn’t allowed to play football, but he was so obsessed with the game that he would sneak a football to his other sports practices just to throw it around when his parents weren’t watching.

This determination soon led him to enter the NFL as a second-round pick in Brady’s team, the New England Patriots in 2014. Since then, he has left his footprints in the league by winning numerous awards and championships, including two Super Bowls with Bill Belichick’s team.

While his parents, Tony Garoppolo and Denise Garoppolo, might now take pride in his accomplishments and his decision to pursue a career in football, his recent back injury is causing concern with them and his millions of followers.

The warehouse quarterback of the Raiders, Jimmy Garoppolo was recently ruled out in the Week 6 matchup against his ex-team, the Patriots. The 31-year-old suffered a back injury in the final drive of the second quarter before halftime, after being hit by Patriots linebacker Jahlani Tavai. He was then taken to the hospital, to assure that his injury wasn’t serious, in terms of any “internal issue.

But it seems everything is going in the positive direction for the Raiders. Las Vegas coach Josh McDaniels addressed Garoppolo’s injury, as he “dodged a big bullet,” indicating that the QB is not in danger. However, McDaniels also added that there is still more to “uncover” in his injury status, and also to the future of the Week 7 matchup against the Chicago Bears.

However, as of now, it is reported that Jimmy Garoppolo wasn’t practicing on Wednesday. Raiders are currently holding a 3-3 record this season so far.
