After the fifth loss of the season against the Chiefs, the talks about playoff contention are pretty much out in the Broncos camp. Knowing nothing will be changed this season, they have recently organized some activities in the team roster to start everything fresh for the long run. Despite registering a sub-100-yard game recently after ages, head coach Sean Payton was quite happy with the efforts of Russell Wilson.
Amid these, the Broncos has taken their time to fulfill one of their special fans’ wish on Saturday. They gave the young fan and his family a tour of the training center ahead of their next game against the Packers.

Make-A-Wish Foundation is an American nonprofit foundation that works to fulfill the wishes of critically ill children. They recently teamed up with the Broncos to make a young Broncos fan’s dream come true. Clay, the fan, visited the Broncos’ Centura Health Training Center in Englewood, CO, along with his family. He broke the huddle, toured the entire facility, and met with the team players, including quarterback Russell Wilson. The Broncos have uploaded a few snaps of the beautiful moments to their Instagram.

Without a doubt, Clay will forever remember and cherish the moment. And so will the players. But what about Sean Payton? It seems he too, remembers and appreciates certain things about his players, even before Clay was there. We are talking about Russell Wilson obviously, and the head coach’s honest thought about the quarterback.

Sean Payton is as confident as ever with Wilson
Ahead of their home game against the Packers, Sean Payton cleared his mind about the star quarterback. He was appreciative of Wilson and refused to distinguish him on the basis of his recent performances. Talking to the press conference, Payton reflected on how Russell has been dealing with his recent criticisms. “Early morning notes. You know he prepares like all of the top guys. And if you ever did like a work week in the life of a quarterback, it’s pretty… not exhausting but it’s long.”
Russell is still among the best passers and TD throwers in the season despite a horrific team display, and that somewhere reflects on Payton’s comments. However, it is a bigger question if Mr. Comeback will keep his coach’s trust with a win against the Packers. As things stand, hopes are incredibly low. But it’s not diminished. The Broncos certainly have nothing left to lose, so they might surprise the visitors and break all odds. Especially given that the Packers themselves aren’t doing all that great in the season, with a 2-4 record. Keep an eye on the match as it goes live from Mile High Stadium on Sunday, October 21.
