Aaron Rodgers is glad he made it to Met Life Stadium to catch the Sunday showdown between his gang and the Chiefs. Watching the Jets unleash their fire against the reigning Super Bowl champions has been a sight to behold for the QB. Although the Chiefs ultimately emerged victorious with a score of 23-20, it certainly was not a cakewalk for the champions. The starter Zach Wilson gave the Chiefs a run for their money, unleashing his career-best performance by completing 28 of his 39 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns.
Rodgers is nothing but impressed. And he’s all about keeping up the good work. However, moving forward, he also has some pointers.

With Wilson at the helm, the Jets brought their A-game against the Chiefs, and the victory of the Super Bowl Champions was not as breezy as expected. And there is no room for any talk of moral victory just because it was closer than anyone might have anticipated. Rodgers is not so thrilled about such ‘sentiments’ as he shot down the narrative during his recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.
“There’s some sentiment that there’s some sort of moral victory out there, that we hung with the champs,” Rodgers said.
He added, “Our defense played well, and Pat didn’t have a crazy game, and Mr. Pfizer (Travis Kelce), we kind of shut him down a little bit.”

This killer performance brought back hope for the four-time MVP after the Jets’ couple of lackluster matches. But moving forward, there’s still work to be done. And that starts from the locker room, according to the QB.
Some things should stay inside the walls, says Rodgers

Rodgers did not mince his words as he opened up about his disappointment with his locker room talk leaking out. Ahead of the Jets’ match with the Chiefs on Sunday, it was reported that Rodgers had told his teammates to “stop pointing fingers,” especially in the wake of the apparent rift in the team after the Week 3 loss to the Patriots. However, according to the MVP, the messages are intended for the team and should stay inside the walls.
“Part of the process of being a team that’s connected and being a team that sticks together is there are some things that are meant for the locker room. Conversations that should stay in the locker room, in the meeting room, in the hotel.”
“We need to learn as an organization that some things need to be kept in-house. We gotta tighten the ship up a little bit,” he said.

Despite the hiccups, the QB senses a “better energy” in the fold, and things are definitely looking up for the green gang.
