A-Rod appeared on the Pat McAfee show earlier this week. The injured QB was discussing the valiant loss the Jets had against the Chiefs. During his analysis of the game, he referred to Travis Kelce as ‘Mr. Pfizer’. Owing to Kelce’s recent partnership with pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, he appeared in the corporation’s advertisement campaign for vaccinations against COVID-19. Now Kelce has hit back on Rodgers.

Four-time MVP Rodgers made the hosts laugh with his nickname for Kelce. He further reinstated his point by saying, “He’s doing commercials for Pfizer, so I’m sure he’s owning it.” Now, while answering the media’s questions before the game against the Vikings, Kelce had a comeback for A-Rod.
“I thought it was pretty good,” 33-year-old TE said with a laugh. “Who knew I’d get into the vax wars with Aaron Rodgers, man?” He continued as he finally landed the hook for his comments. “Mr. Pfizer vs. the Johnson and Johnson family over there.” Kelce sent the room in laughter as he referred to the person who pays Rodgers’ wages weekly.

Robert Wood Johnson IV fondly known as Woody Johnson, is the owner of the New York Jets. He is also the heir apparent to the Johnson & Johnson corporation. Famously, one of the biggest competitors to Pfizer in the vaccine and flu shots industry. Though the billionaire and business mogul doesn’t lack funds, he would love to have his expensive acquisition back on the field sooner rather than later.
