The Kansas City Chiefs TE is making news all over the place. Be it his stellar performances on the field, his dating rumors with mega-pop star Taylor Swift, or his on-TV commercials. As the spotlight continues to stay on Kelce, this time the reasons are altogether different. The Chiefs’ star TE garnered attention Aaron Rodger’s ‘Mr. Pfizer’ jibe.

A-Rod appeared on the Pat McAfee show earlier this week. The injured QB was discussing the valiant loss the Jets had against the Chiefs. During his analysis of the game, he referred to Travis Kelce as ‘Mr. Pfizer’. Owing to Kelce’s recent partnership with pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, he appeared in the corporation’s advertisement campaign for vaccinations against COVID-19. Now Kelce has hit back on Rodgers.

Four-time MVP Rodgers made the hosts laugh with his nickname for Kelce. He further reinstated his point by saying, “He’s doing commercials for Pfizer, so I’m sure he’s owning it.” Now, while answering the media’s questions before the game against the Vikings, Kelce had a comeback for A-Rod.

“I thought it was pretty good,” 33-year-old TE said with a laugh. “Who knew I’d get into the vax wars with Aaron Rodgers, man?” He continued as he finally landed the hook for his comments. “Mr. Pfizer vs. the Johnson and Johnson family over there.” Kelce sent the room in laughter as he referred to the person who pays Rodgers’ wages weekly.
