A few friendships in the sports world warm the hearts, and Deion Sanders‘ friendship is undoubtedly among them. While Sanders might be enjoying a good time in Colorado, his friend in his new home is still under scrutiny.

There’s no denying how excellent Coach Prime is when it comes to playing or mentoring, but beyond that, Sanders is also a beautiful human being who stands by his friends, family, and fans. Once again, when the scrutiny’s magnifying glass fell on the Denver Broncos team and Coach Sean Payton, Sanders wasted no time in standing by his friend.

In a weekly press conference on September 26, Deion Sanders was asked about his preparation and the shocking results of his team’s game against Oregon, in which they lost 6-42. In addition to this question, a reporter mentioned the recent Broncos blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins, with a score of 70-20. Sanders interrupted and said, ?Hey, hey, leave my guy alone.?

He continued, ?I love the Broncos. I love their coaches. Sean Payton is my guy. He’s gonna get it right. I promise you, I believe in Sean Payton.? Sanders pleaded with the reporters not to drag Payton and his team?s performance into his loss. He also expressed his faith in Payton, stating that the new Broncos coach will make a comeback at the right time.

Well, to be honest, it seems the Denver Broncos have only a slim chance of making a comeback, as they are 0-3 so far this season. And as NFL history suggests, any team that starts with a 0-3 record rarely comes back to win the division or make the playoffs. Up to now, only six teams, the 1981 Jets, 1982 Buccaneers, 1992 Chargers, 1995 Lions, 1998 Bills, and 2018 Texans have made it to the playoffs after starting the season 0-3.

This is quite interesting and shocking at the same time because out of approximately 356 teams that have started their NFL season with a 0-3 record, only these six teams have reached the playoffs.
