Buffalo Bills running back Damien Harris collapsed and fell on the ground due to a neck injury on Sunday night’s match against the New York Giants and was taken off the field in an ambulance. Damien was blocked after he received the ball from Bill’s Quarterback Josh Allen and couldn’t get up after suffering a severe neck injury.

Despite this major setback, the team went on to win the game with satisfactory numbers on the scoreboard. However, Harris’ teammate Damar Hamlin was also watching him from the sideline and was visibly emotional after the unfortunate incident. Following this injury, he posted a “Healing” message on his official Twitter page recalling his incident.

The incident that happened on Sunday which involved Damien Harris looked terrible. Right after the footballer collided with the Giants’ linebacker, he couldn’t support himself and had to be immediately rushed to the hospital. All the players once given the green signal, surrounded Harris who tried his best to put on a brave front.

Post this incident, there is another Bills’ player who shared a heartwarming message. Taking to his ‘X’ account, Damar Hamlin wrote, “Still healing.” Thus, indicating his own recovery journey after he faced a life-threatening situation back in January. The post also consisted of a bandaged heart emoticon, alongside number 3, Hamlin’s jersey  number.

It is salient to note that while the players surrounded the 26-year-old, Hamlin couldn’t move from his position on the side. Reflecting an emotional side of his, Hamlin sat inactive with his head down as the medics helped Harris on the stretcher. It isn’t far-fetched to predict that the reaction is directly related to the incident faced by the 25-year-old at the start of this year.

The incident took place in a match against the Cincinnati Bengals. During the “Monday Night Football” game, the Bills’ safety suffered a cardiac arrest while making a tackle and had to be taken off the grounds. He was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for additional tests and care. This time as well, as the ambulance came forth, it highlighted Hamlin’s jersey on its rear doors.

Buffalo Bills Running back Damien Harris got an injury in his neck during Sunday’s match against NY Giants. The injury occurred late in the second quarter after he received the ball from Bill’s QB Allen. Harris took off his hand in the middle to tackle Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke.

Immediately after that both the team players signalled to aid Harris, and the entire Buffalo Bills team surrounded Harris while Bill’s training staff assessed him. However, he gave a thumbs up as he took off the field in an ambulance for further treatment.

Head Coach Sean McDermott gave the injury update and said that his hands and legs are in movement. Harris is out of the hospital, however, he needs to rest at home for a complete recovery.
