All things aside, the Philadelphia Eagles have respect for their coach Nick Sirianni. Sirianni faced criticism recently when the Eagles dropped from 10-1 in the start to 11-5 in the last. After this downfall, especially in the defense, Sirianni was rumored to be on the verge of firing. However, his players are in support of him.

Most recently, after the loss against the Cardinals, team players like Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown defended Sirianni, calling him “loyal.” The head coach seems impressed by the team’s unity and certainly has the team’s support. Sirianni has finally chosen a side. Whether it’s about players’ public accountability or in-house accountability, the head coach has drawn a line.

On Thursday’s weekly press conference of the Eagles, coach Nick Sirianni appeared to talk about the adjustments he has made to the practices of his team, his plan to face the Giants in week 18, and the “accountability” part. Sirianni has been facing criticism lately, but he believes in keeping certain matters within the team rather than discussing them publicly. When Sirianni was asked about in-house accountability, he emphasized, “I just think there are things that don’t need to be addressed to the outside world, and we keep things in-house.” He referred to team accountability as the “third core value”.

He continued, “Just like a conversation with a player, I’m never going to talk to you guys about private conversations I had with a player because that’s between us. Same thing with a play.” Sirianni valued accountability within the team, as also recently shown by his players in the locker room, and informed that for him “all that matters is that we get better from whatever we did from it.” His “primary focus” is on improving from experiences, whether successful or not. He mentioned that the team’s priority is to uphold its internal standards and get back on track before the playoffs.

Sirianni’s comments on the accountability part are somewhat directed towards how A.J. Brown complimented and vehemently defended his coach.

A.J. Brown has nothing but respect for his coach!

After losing 31-35 against the Cardinals, A.J. Brown was followed in the locker room by the media to know his views on coach Nick Sirianni. However, contrary to what many expected, Brown praised Sirianni for his coaching abilities and backed him saying that he is loyal to the Eagles.

Brown said that the coach takes up for them in every situation, even “when it has nothing to do with him.” He said, “I have nothing but respect for him because not all coaches do that.”

Furthermore, Brown praised his coach for fostering accountability within the team. He emphasized saying, “There may be things that Nick probably wanna fix about himself. Loyalty is not one of them.” Brown’s gestures are surely something any coach might want to hear in the league.
