Denver Broncos quarterback Zachary Kapono Wilson was born on August 3, 1999. He was drafted by the New York Jets second overall in the 2021 NFL draft after playing collegiate football for the BYU Cougars. At BYU, where he played collegiate football, he won two bowl game MVP awards. Throughout his first three seasons as a starter for the Jets, Wilson was moved to the Broncos in 2024 due to his uneven play and injuries.
After being selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, the young quarterback faced two difficult seasons, but his family supported him through it all. After taking Rodgers’ place as the team’s starting quarterback in 2023, his mother Lisa Wilson said her son performed admirably and that she was proud of him. Zach is one of six children, so Team Wilson has plenty of football knowledge in addition to a lot of support. Born to Michael and Lisa Wilson (née Neeleman), he has three brothers and two sisters —four boys and two girls.

Josh, Micah, and Isaac Wilson, Zach Wilson’s younger brothers, appear to know where they belong on the football field whereas Zach Wilson finds it difficult to establish himself in New York.
Isaac Wilson, the younger brother of Zach Wilson, has committed to play for the University of Utah. A four-star quarterback from Corner Canyon High School in Utah, Isaac threw for 3,774 yards and 40 touchdowns last season, leading his team to an 11-3 record and a state title game appearance. With offers from top programs like Arizona, BYU, and Oregon, Isaac chose Utah, where he’ll provide a strong option to replace Cameron Rising after the upcoming season. Following in his brother’s footsteps, Isaac is poised to make a name for himself in the college football scene. Furthermore, Josh and Micah were also Brigham Young University linebackers.
The boys’ father, Mike Wilson, a former defensive lineman at Utah, may have given them an innate talent. Mike didn’t want to be a coach at first, but he gave in and has now coached all of his boys. “I had no idea how much I would enjoy [coaching], or enjoy working with my boys or coaching other kids,” he shared with Deseret News in 2023.

The Wilson boys are remarkably alike in appearance, not to mention that they both adore anything football. This was Zach’s Jets teammate Alijah Vera-Tucker’s take, at least. When Zach Wilson shared a family photo of the Wilson siblings on Instagram in 2022, Vera-Tucker remarked, “Which one is you?” It seems like a reasonable query, considering that all of the Wilson sons have fair hair and all-American good looks.
Zach Wilson isn’t the oldest member of the family, even if he may be serving as an example for his younger brothers. Whitney Wilson is his elder sister, who wed Chad Beckstrom in 2021. Whitney was praised by her mother Lisa Wilson, who posted about the wedding on Instagram. She wrote, “Every family has that person that always remembers everyone’s birthday, always goes the extra mile to make everyone feel special.” Whitney for the Wilson family is the perfect example of that.

As her Instagram profile states, the eldest Wilson sibling is a dance instructor at Elite Dance Studio in Holladay, Utah, and a PTA member. Sweet pictures of her and her spouse, dance studio footage, and pictures of her siblings are all over her account. Based on the happy birthday message with old pictures of Zach and Zach’s kind remark on it, it seems like she and her younger brother are close.
The daughters stand on either side of the Wilson brothers; Whitney is the oldest and Sophie Rose Wilson, 12, is the youngest. Sophie is still a teenager, so not much information about her can be found online. But according to her Instagram, she’s a competitive cheerleader. She wrote, “Wicked is 2023 nca Champions,” as the caption on a photo that showed her squad lifting a huge trophy. As per a tweet from the MACS Cheer account on X, which was once known as Twitter, Sophie and her team emerged as the inaugural NCA winners of the program. It’s obvious that Sophie didn’t come to play, but then, none of the Wilson siblings do.
