Jerry Jones’s Cowboys went “all in” with a couple of turnovers in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles. They should have known they were cooked the moment Dak Prescott was ruled out of the game because of his surgery. The abysmal 6-34 loss has the Cowboys owner confused about why his team is competing in the NFL.
Jones was swarmed with media personnel after the game and said something that might be very incomprehensible to the Dallas Cowboys fan base. An X post from Yahoo Sports’ Jori Epstein sheds light on Jerry Jones’ post-game reaction.
“Jerry Jones: You can’t win games with 5 turnovers,” Jones admitted, per Epstein, and said, “Philadelphia is a high-caliber team. We’re not up to it.” The first part is right, no team can win a game with five turnovers. It’s the other half of his statement that has the Cowboys fans cringing.

The Philadelphia Eagles defense forced five turnovers on the Dallas Cowboys. Cooper Rush didn’t only perform abysmally on the SNF game with his 13/23 and 45-yard performance, but he was the one to fumble the pigskin twice, out of the 5 turnovers. Things got so bad that Cooper Rush was briefly replaced by Trey Lance in the first half.
But the boos from the crowd at the AT&T Stadium were strong that the team decided to sub in Trey Lance for the fourth quarter. But then, Lance threw an interception. The pick came early in the fourth quarter when Lance decided to throw a deep pass to Jalen Tolbert. While we’re getting carried away by inexperienced QBs fumbling a lot, veteran RB Ezekiel Elliott has his own share of mess-ups.

Is Jerry Jones finally admitting the Cowboys aren't the powerhouse he thought they were?

Ezekiel Elliott fumbled in the Philadelphia end zone in the second quarter and deprived his team of taking the lead. Saying that the Dallas Cowboys had a disappointing game would be an understatement.

The Dallas Cowboys never went past 100 yards in any aspect; passing, rushing, or receiving, you name it. Dallas only rushed for 97 yards with Rico Dowdle doing the most with his 12 carries over 53 yards. The receiving was even worse, with the whole team having 17 receptions over 66 receiving yards.
As far as passing is concerned, Trey Lance had only 21 passing yards, completing 4 of his 6 passes. Cooper Rush on the other hand only completed 56.5% of his passes, coming out with a passer rating of 61.7. Many knew from the get-go that the QB performance would be an eyesore, but CeeDee Lamb only having 21 receiving yards was something unbelievable.

Even more embarrassing is the fact that the Cowboys didn’t score a single touchdown in Dak Prescott’s absence. The America’s team has now slipped to 3-6 and will be up against the Texans in the next game.
