He said, “They got better receivers now, and the room’s better. With Rashee Rice, where it stands right now is there’s not a whole lot of movement in terms of the legal process. He can go to OTAs, attend workouts, and participate. But the Chiefs are expecting Rice to be suspended for a number of games.”

With Rice possibly missing a large part of the year, the Chiefs will need rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy to contribute immediately. They will also need Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to quickly get used to playing with his new team. Rashee’s car crash happened almost a month before the 2024 NFL Draft. By then, most top free-agent wide receivers had already signed with other teams, leaving the Chiefs with limited options.
