This generation of NFL Scouting Combine seems particularly promising. That’s because WRs like Xavier Worthy are breaking 40-yard dash records and impressing people like Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and even the Raiders HC Antonio Pierce. By the looks of it, the wide receiver has single-handedly carved his way into the NFL spotlight and might land himself with some top teams.

Speaking of new homes, the Kansas City Chiefs uploaded a YouTube video discussing Worthy’s future in the league. With how matters are appearing, he might even find a spot on the KC Chiefs roster as the club currently lacks good receivers. One of the best draft analysts Matt Miller gave his thoughts about what the Chiefs are in store for in the wake of this year’s NFL combine.

While no confirmation or interest from the Chiefs has reached the NFL fans, Matt Miller tries to make a case for the WR to join the Kansas City team in this interview. Per the conversation, one would infer that the KC Chiefs are in the market for a wide receiver and an offensive tackle. Miller thinks Mahomes,  Rashee Rice, and Travis Kelce could use a wide receiver who is explosive enough to keep up with them and quickly make their way down the field.

Apart from Worthy, Adonai Mitchell, another WR from the Texas Longhorns is climbing up the drafting ladders. A lot of teams need a potentially stable name for their wide receiver position right now. The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl relying on their defense this time around.

Had their WR situation been better, they wouldn’t have had to struggle so much against the San Francisco 49ers or even in the midseason. This opportunity will help them fix any bumps in the WR area, gaining further dominance to better their chances next season.

Other teams in need of a WR might be the Falcons, the Panthers, and the Texans to name a few. Alas, Xavier Worthy did break the NFL combine record with an astonishing number, and those are the kinds of players the Chiefs would require for a third consecutive Lombardi Trophy to come their way.

Xavier Worthy tops the NFL combine leaderboard!

The 20-year-old WR went down in the books of history after he broke the 40-yard dash record of the NFL Combine’s history. His first attempt was 4.25 seconds, however, on his second try, he dashed for 40 yards in just 4.21 seconds, per Adam Schefter. There was a sense of exhilaration on Antonio Pierce’s face when he saw the Longhorns WR make a run for it.

The Chiefs gave up their speedy WR Tyreek Hill after winning the Super Bowl in 2020 and haven’t found their offensive groove since. Having a talented WR in their arsenal would do wonders for the Kansas City side. They recently released Marquez Valdes-Scantling from their roster so there’s a space for a new WR.
