Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs hit a speed bump on Monday Night, serving up their third defeat of the 2023 NFL season against the Eagles. The Arrowhead showdown turned into a nail-biter, ending 21-17 in the Iggles’ favor in this Super Bowl 57 rematch.

Even though Mahomes unleashed a laser-guided pass to Valdes-Scantling, a pass so perfect it could’ve had its own zip code. Alas, in a moment that had Chiefs fans collectively holding their breath, the usually reliable receiver fumbled the catch. To make matters worse, the Chiefs’ offensive mojo seems to have taken an unscheduled halftime break for the third game straight. Now the gridiron maestro finds himself facing a symphony of criticism, with even wrestling legends throwing shade.

Looks like even Nature Boy, Ric Flair, isn’t doing the ‘Woo!’ for Patrick Mahomes. In an epic interview, Flair spilled the tea with Shannon Sharpe, giving the lowdown on his football favorites. Spoiler alert: Mahomes isn’t catching any love.

The former Ravens‘ tight end dropped the bomb on the social media platform ‘X,’ sharing a clip of Flair dissing Mahomes with the caption, “Ric Flair wants the @dallascowboys to go to the Super Bowl… AND LOSE.” In the video, Sharpe throws the question into the ring, asking the WWE Hall of Famer about his top football pick. “Aaron Rodgers. I love Aaron… I love Travis Kelce, I don’t like Patrick Mahomes,” Flair declared.

Patrick Mahomes and Maxx Crosby are stirring up the NFL rivalry. The two gridiron gladiators have clashed head-to-head, throwing shade and head-butts in a showdown that’s become the talk of the town. In a recent sit-down, the Chiefs’ maestro spilled the beans on why facing off against the Raiders‘ defensive dynamo isn’t exactly his idea of a Sunday Funday. Mahomes, known for his cool under pressure, admitted that he doesn’t like playing against him, as he knows “what type of player he is, and the mindset he comes in with.”

When the topic of trash talk came up, Mahomes took the high road in the press conference. Despite being on the receiving end of Crosby’s verbal jabs, the QB showed some serious sportsmanship and denied talking trash about Crossby because he respected him. Now that’s a touchdown for sportsmanship in a league that’s known for its hard hits and harder words.
