Just 2 weeks ago, everyone was wondering about the Cleveland Browns’ future. Their quarterback, Deshaun Watson, re-ruptured his right Achilles tendon. Then there were rumors of them being unable to afford David Njoku‘s contract extension. But this time, it’s confirmed news about Myles Garrett. Brace yourselves for the shock. The news has not only affected the NFL world, it has even rocked other sports universes.

It happened during the latest show of WWE RAW. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston were in Cleveland during a house event. When the crowd began booing the superstars, Woods called them out, saying, “People who boo the truth are called liars.” But his tag team partner couldn’t hold the horses on his emotions and added, “We can’t wait to get out of Cleveland just like Myles Garrett.” The crowd started to lose its mind as Woods looked at Kingston in disbelief. Talk about a low blow, Kofi!

However, everything that’s happening at the Browns is nothing short of unbelievable. Their days went from bad to worse on Monday, 3rd February, as Myles Garrett declared he wanted out to win trophies. The 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, 6-time Pro Bowl, and 4-time All-Pro has achieved brilliant success on an individual level. But the Browns have failed after drafting him 1st in the 2017 Draft.

In his 8 seasons with the Browns, they have only qualified for the postseason twice. That’s a big problem. The lack of a stable QB position along with a weak O-line has made them falter year after year. And he wants to win. His message is obvious.

While the Browns camp wouldn’t like to lose their star DE, he has already submitted his request. The decision now lies in the hands of the GM, Andrew Berry.

Will Andrew Berry change his stance on Myles Garrett?

What’s your perspective on:

Is Myles Garrett's departure the final nail in the Browns' coffin, or can they bounce back?

The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl,” the DE said in his official statement. But many fans assumed that he took a shot at the GM Andrew Berry, who claimed that they would not trade their star even for two 1st round picks.

While talking about Myles Garrett, the Browns GM said, “We envision him going from Cleveland to Canton when his career is over. We want him to retire here.” However, going by the scheme of things, he might not back down this time. He had a great show this year, with 14 sacks, 47 tackles (40 solo), and 28 QB hits.

However, he is also feeling the pain of millions of Browns fans. They haven’t won a Super Bowl ever. Since the dawn of 2000, they haven’t won a divisional or championship game either. And he wants it. It’ll be an interesting offseason in Cleveland.
