Before the Sunday game, Micah Parsons was listed under the injury list, as he caught flu-like symptoms on Saturday. However, it was later revealed that Parsons is taking on the field, despite illness. In the post-game after winning against the Eagles, Parsons revealed the intensity of his illness a night before the game. He said while sniffling, “Last night, I woke up with a 102-3 fever,” and added that he took medicines and IVs to be able to play the Eagles game.

Parsons further revealed his plans after victory saying that he will be going home and resting well. Although medicines and his chicken noodle soup helped him feel better, Parsons is still dealing with illness. However, in the game, the athlete finished the team’s 33-13 victory with two tackles and a sack.

It’s the resilience of athletes that keeps winning many hearts. Dallas Cowboys crushed the Eagles with a 20-point lead. Despite being ill, he performed well, and it seems he was taking some important guidance from his coach while walking in his footsteps, who himself was diagnosed with appendicitis.

The Cowboys coach overcame the surgery successfully!

From there, he went to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with acute appendicitis, a condition that required emergency surgery. The coach then had a surgery a few hours later and was out of surgery the Wednesday afternoon. The following day, the team revealed that McCarthy was back at home and doing well. Not only this, but he made the return to the sidelines for the Cowboys game against the Eagles. Tony Pollard, the team’s running back, expressed how their coach made a cool entrance to the beats of “50 Cents” into the offense’s meeting for the first time this week. Well, McCarthy believes that he doesn’t need medical clearance to coach from the sidelines.
