Russell Wilson has proved his mettle on the gridiron and got the Denver Broncos to a 5-game win streak. Just when people thought they were done with Wilson, he buckled up and positioned the Broncos 2 in the AFC West. Of course, everyone is on the Russell Wilson bandwagon right now, forgetting how Stephen A. Smith essentially said that the only good thing Wilson has done for Denver is to bring Ciara.

This came at a time when the Broncos were running amok and were in shambles. They have gone from being uninteresting to beating one of the best defenses in the league, the Cleveland Browns, by a landslide. Now, a tweet from JPA Football brought forth some interesting numbers that the Broncos QB1 put up this season.

As of this game and how his season is going, Russell Wilson has put up 2442 total yards this season. Additionally, he has 21 touchdowns in his name. Although he was intercepted 4 times this season, he came out with a 103.4 passer rating. This might change in the future, hopefully for the good. A thing to note is how Wilson has only been intercepted 4 times this season, compared to Josh Allen, who was intercepted in each of the last 6 games he played.

Though Allen looks good on papers, Wilson is in a league of his own. It’s amazing how the veteran elevated himself since the last season. A noteworthy thing here is that Wilson was sacked 55 times in the 15 games he played in the 2022 season. However, he has played 11 games so far, and has been sacked 33 times only. Even his pass completion rate has improved, from 60.5 to last year’s 15 games to 68.3% to this season’s 11 games.

There are only a few QBs in the league that have more than 20 TDs this season, and Russell Wilson is one of those few. The Denver team won the last game against the Cleveland Browns with a 29-12 landslide.

Broncos Vs. Browns: A brief look

Russell Wilson scored his first rushing touchdown of the season. The only touchdown from Wilson came with a 59.1% pass completion rate, with 13 out of 22 attempts being successful. He passed for 134 yards, which is not much compared to the likes of CJ Stroud. Coincidentally, the Broncos are facing the Texans as their next opponent. It was in the second quarter when Russell Wilson rushed for the touchdown.
