Is Taylor Swift the secret weapon behind Travis Kelce's future success with the Chiefs?

Remember Patrick Mahomes said that Taylor Swift is so interested in football that she is drawing plays for the Kansas City Chiefs; that “we might have to put one in?” Well, that time he didn’t reveal what her game was and other details about it, but Mahomes’ teammate & Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, recently provided an insight regarding the same, while teasing his upcoming prowess.

In a latest press conference, via ESPN’s Instagram page, Travis Kelce was asked about “the changes in his life the past year.” Hence, revealing “what his future holds,” the Chiefs tight end teased everyone by saying, “The best is yet to come, baby.” Kelce, who has 93 catches for 984 yards and scored 5 touchdowns in 15 games in 2023, was selected in his ninth Pro-Bowls and became the fourth-most TE to achieve 11,328 receiving yards. After this impactful season last year, Kelce still believes that he is going to bring his best in 2024.

So, does that mean he has changed his gameplay or something? Well, many believe that it’s his girlfriend, Taylor Swift’s magic, which has led Kelce to be happy and determined. And why shouldn’t he be? After all, the Grammy winner was a little biased” for him, as she “just creates plays for her partner.

In a recent interview on the Rich Eisen Show on Tuesday, Travis Kelce gave an extended version of Patrick Mahomes’ statements in which he said Tay-Tay “has been drawing up plays for the team’s offensive playbook.” He said that although she has been creating plays for him, all those still have to make it to the desk of head coach Andy Reid.

Nevertheless, the 34-year-old mentioned that as Swift is new to football, she is a quick learner. However, according to the TE, “She didn’t know much about the rules and everything, but what I think makes her so good in her profession is that she’s so detailed in every aspect of it.”

Hence, he promised that if her plays reached Reid’s desk, “I’ll make sure everyone knows they were her creation.” Well, that’s how a great partner is, and they both feel lucky to have each other! Besides that, it’s now almost confirmed that Swift’s gameplay is not going to be implemented in the 2024 games of the Chiefs.

But as they say, “You never know what will turn out to be the next,” similarly, we never know if the Chiefs, who are full of surprises, might actually bring some Swift’s magic on the field sometime. Until then, Kelce is ready for another battle this year.
