Mac Jones has had a forgettable season so far. In his ten appearances with the Patriots, he has managed a meager ten touchdowns. Looks like the performance of the QB has demanded Bill Belichick to make some hard decisions. Don Kleiman shared the update on X that talked about the future of Mac Jones with the team.

The post started by acknowledging that the news currently speculates as just “RUMORS.” However, it further went on to address the placement of the star in the team. It was revealed that Jones is speculated to “almost certainly be benched and will probably be demoted to 3rd-string going forward.” This information was shared by insider Tom Curran.

Don Kleiman also shed light on who is likely to replace the keyman. Two names that will join the race for the Patriot’s QB are Will Grier and Bailey Zappe. Will these replacements prove to be sufficient going forward this season? Only time will tell! But we have got a major update on who will likely be looked at for the starting QB position for the Patriots in 2024!

MLFootball shared the update “USC QB Caleb Williams is now the favorite to be the the New England Patriots starting quarterback in 2024.” The 21-year-old QB is a fresh find who plays in the NCAA football for the Trojans.
