At the beginning of the season, the New York Jets found out quickly that they lack the QB depth. That might be the case for the Cincinnati Bengals as well. With Joe Burrow’s untimely injury, who will be their QB for the remainder of the season?
With six more games to go and an uphill battle for the playoff spot on their hands, the Bengals are in a tough spot. The trading window is shut, so their QB options must come either within their squad or free agent QBs available to be grabbed.

Joe Burrow in his 4 seasons with the Bengals has been injury prone. He suffered a season-ending injury in his rookie year as well. The fans must be hoping that the Bengals management has learned from that ordeal.
The QBs for this job should be either free agents or already within the Bengals’ ecosystem. They need to be fit and their experience on the field must be paramount. So, here are the 5 QBs that the Bengals can play in their remaining games.
Joe Flacco
A veteran of the game, Joe Flacco has played the backup role at several franchises. From the Jets to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens, they all have used Flacco’s services at one time or another. But if the Bengals want to land the 38-year-old, they must hurry up, since the Cleveland Browns are also in the race.
Nick Foles
Rarely does anyone get a chance to get a Super Bowl winner and Super Bowl MVP to sign as a free agent. This 34-year-old QB has been with several great teams and won it all with the Eagles in 2018. Released earlier this year by the Indianapolis Colts due to an injury, Foles is fit and willing to get back on the field.
Colin Kaepernick
This controversial QB is still a free agent. Even though he comes with a lot of baggage, his skills might be useful for the Bengals. Earlier this season, with the injury to A-Rod, Colin Kaepernick wrote a public letter to the Jets management, wanting to play for them. The Jets didn’t take the 36-year-old up on his offer, but the Bengals might.
Matt Ryan
4X Pro Bowler and NFL MVP was let go by the Colts earlier this year. Matt Ryan has seen and done it all in the NFL, one of the most accomplished free agents available. The former Falcons QB can inject not only his experience but also his phenomenal throwing abilities into the Bengals team. Ryan is 38 years old but still throws the ball like a young man.

Jake Browning
This 27-year-old QB has always played the backup role in his 5-year career in the NFL. First for the Minnesota Vikings and since 2021 for the Bengals. But he is also the player that came on for Burrow after his injury against the Ravens. With Zach Taylor’s success at the Jets, the Bengals might stick with their backup QB.
