There have been many siblings in the NFL throughout its history. From the Manning duo to the Gronkowski trio, there’s something none of them have ever achieved. To play against each other in a Super Bowl. After this feat, are the Kelce brothers planning to achieve another feat? That is to retire together?

Super Bowl LVII will be remembered for a long time to come. Patrick Mahomes’ genius aside, it marked the first time the brothers played on opposite sides. Now, getting towards the twilight of their career, will they both hang up their jerseys together as well?

Travis Kelce details retirement plans

Though Travis Kelce (34) is usually tight-lipped about his personal life. In a rare sit-down interview for “WSJ. Magazine” for their December/January edition, Kelce opened up. Apart from talking about his tryst with Taylor Swift. He talked about his retirement as well.

#87 revealed that he thinks about retiring “More than anyone could ever imagine”. His primary concern is his body and the damage it has taken over the years. Kelce said, “That’s the only thing I’ve never really been open about … the discomfort. The pain. The lingering injuries — the 10 surgeries I’ve had”.

The Kelce brothers have 3 Super Bowl rings and a whopping 14 Pro Bowls between them. If they do end up retiring, they will go out on top. Younger brother Travis has detailed his plans, but what about older brother Jason?

Jason Kelce (36) was all but sure at the end of last season that he will retire. With his contract up and a heart-breaking loss against his brother, at the Super Bowl, everybody thought this was it for the Philadelphia Eagles center. But it didn’t turn out to be the case.

“If it’s this year, which it very well could be! we want to make sure that we’re ready to go when football is done”, Jason said earlier this season after signing a one-year contract extension with the Eagles.
