Can Justin Jefferson's return turn the Vikings' season around, or is it too little, too late?

During their last game against the 49ers, Minnesota Vikings’ wide receiver got injured trying to allow his team to move up the field. Justin Jefferson was carried to the blue tent for a medical checkup and was questionable to return. He fulfilled the prediction by not returning for the rest of the time on the clock.

Since then, the Vikings have been waiting for their 3rd match of the season and it’s drawing closer. Luckily for fans of the WR, Jefferson has the potential of making it back to the gridiron by that time.

Although the Vikings won the match, Jefferson unfortunately walked out of the game with a quad injury on the 15th. It didn’t seem as bad in the beginning, and things are still going that way. ESPN NFL Insider, Adam Schefter, has some positive news concerning the injury in question.

Justin Jefferson didn’t think much of his injury in the first place

As a wide receiver, Jefferson’s primary job is to run out and ‘receive’ the ball, but the offensive play in that specific down. He tried his best to tackle and succeeded in his job. However, Jefferson met with a strong impact on one of his legs, as seen in a certain clip that was posted on social media. The NFL star put his body on the line for his team and endured some pain for them. He was supported on his way to the blue tent and the number 18 on his jersey shone bright in that moment.

Soon after, there were reports on the internet from insiders that he was questionable to return in the game. All of this went down in the third quarter and accurately enough, Jefferson did not return to the field. However, when he was asked about his injury, he was rather unconcerned about it. He mentioned his “thigh bruise, contusion, whatever you want to call it,” when asked to describe it. This statement alone was optimistic, and now the update is perfection for the fans who wish to see him return for the next game.
