Are the Texans the real deal this season, or will the Packers prove their mettle?

Both the Texans and the Packers have had it pretty good this year, though you can’t deny the Texans have a slight edge. And that edge is gonna get a little sharper. At 5-1, the Texans are dominating the AFC South and look like shoo-ins for the playoffs. At 4-2, you’d have said the Packers were doing well in any other division in the league. But in the NFC North, led by the undefeated Vikings, they’re tied for last place. Now all eyes are on Joe Mixon.

This is an interesting turning point for both teams, though the Packers will be more desperate for a win. With their brand new running back, Joe Mixon, being placed on full practice after two days of limited practice, the Houston Texans will have the benefit of a young and dynamic offense. In the face of their aggression, the Green Bay Packers might struggle; it’s not looking too good for them.

Joe Mixon’s only played in 3 games so far, but his impact was felt in every one of them. Right on debut against the Indianapolis Colts, he ran an incredible 159-yard game, with a rushing touchdown to boot. He had a quieter game against the Bears, but then Mixon was on fire against the Patriots too. Not only did he rush for 102 yards and a touchdown, but he caught a touchdown pass too.

Also, linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips is coming off limited practice. Offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, who is consistently one of the highest-paid has missed most practice. These two are the most acknowledged players in that position. Unfortunately, wide receiver Steven Sims and defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi are still questionable for the Packers game.

If you’ve been following the Green Bay Packers page, and especially if you’re a fan hoping to attend the Texans game, you might have heard it referred to as a Winter Warning game. Ditch the green and gold jerseys, you’ll be expected in gleaming white at Lambeau field, to match with the players.

While temperatures are only expected to hit the 60s by then, the white uniforms to match the white stands are aimed at creating a “blizzard” effect. Lambeau Field is already known for its cold conditions, this will be the perfect complement. The Winter Warning game is also a chance for the Packers to show off their new alternate white helmets.
