After a devastating loss at home, the Panthers‘ bus will depart for Philadelphia this week. Carolina has high hopes of breaking their two-game losing streak. However, they may not have their full strength on the field to help break the streak. LB Jadeveon Clowney, in Week 13, sustained an injury to his knee. While the head coach revealed this week that he is expected to play, it may not be the case.
The final medical report is out. And the answer is not in the favour of the Panthers fans. It is revealed in the reports that the LB’s injury has been downgraded from before. So, it seems Clowney’s recovery graph had gone downhill due to strain on the knee. And ultimately this also means that he will not play the game against the Eagles.
How disappointing. The Eagles have been in great shape this year. So, if the Panthers wanted to bag this win, Clowney’s presence would have aided it. The report about the LB read, “#Panthers HC Dave Canales had said yesterday he expected Jadeveon Clowney to play against the #Eagles but that won’t be the case.”

The linebacker had said in an earlier interview that he wished to play in front of the Eagles home crowd. However, it seems that won’t be happening this time.
Jadeveon wants to feel the pressure of playing on the Eagles’ turf
While NFL teams always have an advantage on their home field. The Eagles are on a completely different level. The team’s fandom is quite large and quite vocal. This is one of the major reasons the squad has such a good record in Philadelphia. The fans work as the team’s 12th member, and Jadeveon Clowney revealed how much his team hates it.

Appreciating the Eagles’ crowd, he said, “I know they love their fans, but I’m sure teams don’t love their fans. We can’t stand their fans. But Philly fans, they love their team. That’s all I can tell you about Philly fans. They love their team. They throw stuff at you. They do everything. They talk the most junk out of any fans I’ve ever dealt with throughout my career.”
Although Jadeveon Clowney will not play, the rest of the Panthers team will feel the pressure. They will have to deal with the heckling from the crowd and, at the same time, keep their head in the game. It’ll be intriguing to watch what happens when these two teams meet this week. Until then, stay tuned for additional updates.
