Will Haason Reddick's presence be the game-changer the Jets need to beat the 49ers?

The New York Jets went up and about the entire 2024 pre-season so far without Haason Reddick. The linebacker is staying away from every and any team activities. NFL fans have been wondering about when his holdout might end. Despite his ongoing contract with the team, Reddick is allegedly trying to negotiate his income from the NFL.

The head coach of the New York Jets, Robert Saleh, has finally opened up about the possibility of Reddick’s return in week 1. The team will have its season-opening on the coming Monday, the 9th of September. Since fans wish to see the LB returning, Saleh thought it best to open up about the situation again.

As the season-opening match for the NY Jets draws closer with each passing hour, the American football community is growing impatient regarding Haason Reddick’s comeback. Since the athlete himself hasn’t said anything, the best point of contact for the viewers is the team.

When asked about the same in a recent press conference, Saleh said it would be “fair” to say that Reddick may not show up in the Jets’ first game of the season on Monday, 9th September against the San Francisco 49ers.

Since he hasn’t been a part of the team even during the pre-season because of the alleged contract situation, Reddick’s arrival is still a mystery. Robert Saleh, however, also claimed that if the player on holdout decides to come back, the team will welcome him back with open arms.

Could this mean something for Haason Reddick?

As far as things have been made official, the New York team hasn’t settled any differences with its linebacker as of yet. While they must have someone to replace him with for the upcoming match, his absence is not good for anyone. There are two outcomes of this situation. The team will either negotiate a better offer to suit Reddick or the pro footballer will leave his holdout and finally join the active roster. It is expected that all of this will happen within this season, but you shouldn’t expect him to show up during the Monday match either way.
