David Njoku was injured earlier this season, and the Cleveland Browns have suffered a significant setback since then. We all know that during the Browns’ season opener, Njoku was gravely injured while receiving a 29-yard pass. The TE sustained an ankle sprain, and the health report for him was not positive. The head coach at the time stated that the severity of Njoku’s injury could not be determined.

It was eventually disclosed that an injury update on the TE will be provided every week. His week 3 update appears to have arrived, and it does not bode well for Browns supporters. Given the present situation, David Njoku is unlikely to return to the Browns’ lineup this week. This might be a significant aspect for the team, given their match versus the Giants is very critical. The Browns narrowly defeated the Jaguars 18-13 in their most recent matchup. This suggests that the Browns’ new strategy may work for them in the following games as well.

If we look at the history, both sides have a good record against each other. Although all-time records are almost equal, in the previous years, the Browns have dominated the Giants. Since 2016 Giants have not defeated Browns and they would like to extend this dominance. David Njoku’s absence will make it difficult for them to strengthen their defensive corner, but the squad will give all they have to win the game. Analysts had high hopes for Njoku this year since the veteran showed his real talent last season and this injury is very unfortunate for the TE.

Did David Njoku’s injuries prevent him from making history?

The veteran tight end showed everyone his experience last year. If you don’t know, Njoku was an unstoppable force last year. The guy played 16 games, catching 81 passes and carrying the ball for 882 yards for an average of 10.9. Not only that, but he scored six touchdowns, which was super good for a defensive player.
