Will CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs' return be the game-changer the Cowboys desperately need?

The Dallas Cowboys are hoping to get back into the winning column after their embarrassing loss at home against the Saints. This brought an end to their 16-game-winning run at home in the regular season. Although that loss could seem like a minor slip in the Cowboys’ charge toward the Super Bowl title, two of their key players suddenly found themselves on the injury report.

WR Cee Dee Lamb reportedly missed practice on Wednesday, citing an ankle injury. At the same time, CB Trevon Diggs also missed training due to a possible foot injury. However, Cowboys GM Jerry Jones offered a positive update on the same, saying he is confident that Cee Dee Lamb and Trevon Diggs will play against the Ravens on Sunday.

Well, if it’s true, then it would be a huge boost for the Cowboys against a Ravens side who are 0-2 at the start of the regular season. Without CeeDee Lamb and two-time Pro Bowler Diggs, it would be a mammoth task to contain the Ravens offense. Considering Lamb’s impressive performance at home last Sunday, he would have been a huge miss.

After signing his $136 million contract that put him out of a contractual holdout, the Cowboys WR didn’t put a foot wrong until now. Since coming off 1,749 yards, 135 catches, and 12 TDs, Lamb has started this season strongly, as everyone expected. Even in the loss to New Orleans, the star receiver finished with four receptions for 90 yards and a TD.

Elsewhere, Diggs is coming back from an ACL injury that led to him missing almost the entirety of last season. But will these two players’ availability help the Cowboys score a victory against a Ravens side that is hungry to get their first win of the season?

Will the Cowboys manage to get one over the visiting Ravens this Sunday?

The Baltimore Ravens were left wondering what happened wrong after the Raiders confirmed the potential upset of the season. With that defeat, the Ravens are staring at an empty barrel with nothing to show for at the start of their regular season. Even their nail-biter loss against the Chiefs raised multiple questions about their ability to finish off games.

Meanwhile, in Dallas, the hopes are America’s Team can get their rhyme back since their strong start to the season against the Browns. There 33-17 victory at Cleveland had everything from start to finish. Since holding the Browns’ QB Deshaun Watson to an average of 2.7 yards per play. Well, the next week, it was completely different as Saints QB Derek Carr notched up an average of 14.2 yards per play.
