Anything that could go wrong for the Cowboys this season has gone wrong. After losing their QB Dak Prescott to a season-ending hamstring injury, the Cowboys found their star WR CeeDee Lamb popping up on the injury reserves. Well, Lamb started off this week’s practice sessions staying limited. And it only went worse as Lamb didn’t partake in any practice snaps yesterday.
It was looking like the Cowboys would be set to miss out on their star receiver services against the Commanders on Sunday. However, to the Cowboys Nation’s respite, Lamb managed to turn it around on Friday. As he returned to full practice today, as revealed by head coach Mike McCarthy. If he manages to stay fit in Saturday’s practice, then the Cowboys could expect him on the lineup. But the question is, when did Lamb get injured?
All hands point to Nov 16th, when Lamb might have suffered the back and foot injury he has been dealing with. Even though he was questionable before the Cowboys came up against the Texans. Lamb ended up playing with the injury and completed 8-of-12 targets for 93 yards.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb practiced today. The expectation is that he will play Sunday
— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) November 22, 2024
Over the first 10 games this season, Lamb has recorded 67 receptions for 774 yards while scoring just 4 TDs. Those numbers don’t do justice to his record last year. CeeDee Lamb, just a year earlier, completed 135 catches for 1,749 yards with 12TDs. Even this season, he was expected to do the same. However, the Cowboys’ offense has been abysmal. They haven’t scored more than 10 points for the last three weeks in the NFL.
Although the Cowboys’ struggle can be traced all over the gridiron, the Cowboys WR didn’t shy away from shouldering all the blame himself. After the Texans blew apart the America’s team 10-34, Lamb decided to call their struggles a personal setback.

CeeDee Lamb gets real, describing the Cowboys’ struggle
CeeDee Lamb is all too familiar with the Cowboys’ struggles because it ain’t the first time he has experienced one, “I know the world doesn’t end this year. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen the way that we wanted to do it. We got to learn from these things. You can’t really take all these steps back and expect to win.” You would have to go back to his rookie season when the Cowboys finished with 6-10. But this season, it seems like the Cowboys could do worse, as they have already lost 8 games out of the 11 they played.
What’s your perspective on:
Can CeeDee Lamb's return ignite a Cowboys comeback, or is this season already a lost cause?

This got Lamb sharing his views on opponents trying to capitalise on their shortcomings, “Obviously, everybody is looking to embarrass us. They have their opportunity, when they do, they try to put us out. We had so much success over the last three years as far as in the regular season…for us. We have got to find ways to get together, play together and finish this thing out.” The Cowboys have failed to win any of their home games this season. Losing is not just a part of their routine at AT&T Stadium, as the Cowboys keep on trailing by 20 points dating back to their home loss against the Packers last season.

As CeeDee Lamb returns to contention ahead of Dan Quinn’s Commanders. Lamb would surely want to keep the Cowboys’ chances of making it to the playoffs open. Not winning against the Commanders on Sunday could finally put a nail on their season within week 12.
